Well said ontheball, it was a good side, just fierce unlucky. Wicklow awaits in qf and watch Westmeath win that one easily.

Some great players on that team, and hopefully they'll stick with the county as 21s etc. I think 8 of the starters were eire og, so they are at the right club to encourage playing for the county.

I can see that WH team making the Leinster final given the draw. They won't beat the Dubs but it will be a bitter one to watch thinking how we really should have held, if not added to, our lead and beat them.

Best wishes to Shane Webb after sustaining such a bad break and then his long ordeal to get to the right hospital.

Hope Shane makes a full recovery.
A true Gent, and super sports man, his injury had to have an effect on the rest of the lads during the game, hopefully he will be back wearing the Carlow Colours asap.

Best wishes to Young Shane Webb .. Read his story and ordeal having to wait 8 hours across two hospitals to get proper treatment for a horrendous double leg break .. My heart goes out to him and hope he is back in Carlow colours next year.

Shame ( again) on you Health System - really makes you wonder where €22Billion a year goes from us as taxpayers to a so called Health System when we leave a 17 year old in agony in 2 hospitals for 8 hours ... Keep making front line cuts Mr OReilly ..

Thanks for that Square_Ball_15. To be quiet honest I feel gutted for the chap my self, I wasn't at the game and I didn't know 'till I read it here, it's young lads like Shane that keeps the GAA alive, and this is the shame full way he has/is being treated by the HSE, as far as I'm concerned he did not deserve to be treated like that, it puts things into perspective, in other words is that what we're to expect from here on in. In the mean time get well soon Shane.

Supersub

Main thing is that he gets well now and gets back to his education and on the field in time hopefully. Makes you very glad that injury wasn't life threatening as it could have been a total tragedy with the ambulance service carry on.

Again best wishes I'm sure from all GAA fans the country over to him...
