Entertaining enough game in Celtic Park last night though I felt wee left the extra point behind Derry came into it more in the second half but wee should have killed the game off before then still coming away from Celtic park with a point is better than coming away with out any. Tyrone abú! Total Faith! .

Oh I absolutely agree that Dublin are better equipped than anybody else to do it. Not just physically, but also mentally.

But it will be more difficult nonetheless.

Derry lost the McKenna cup SF narrowly, and got a deserved draw last night after a superb 2nd half comeback.
Expecting a Derry win in their next tustle with Tir Eoghain.

Although going by the law of averages Derry

Kildare v Mayo is a cracker but I'm not sure about this black card crack, Aidan O Shea gone for nothing really , I don't want to see players go for something as innocent as that. We pay good money to go and see the best players play not sit in the stand ffs.

Aos should never have been given a black card. Terrible decision. He was mayos best player up to then imo. Thought the lillies shooting was lovely today too. A throughly enjoyable game.

Clondalkin, I fully agree, I couldn't see what aiden oshea done to deserve the card. Both players seemed to be holding each other down. The Kildare black was clear cut though so the ref has got it 50% correct today I suppose

Didn't make the game in newbridge. Disappointed with the result but no need to panic. Great open game. Kildare had one of those days when everything they not seemed to go over. AOS black card was a stupid decision by the ref. you get away with it this time of year but imagine in the heat of championship battle the uproar these black cards will cause. Impressed with Adam Gallagher, our u-21 captain this year up front.

Kildare/Mayo was excellent match. On reflection, having seen last night and today, and looking at the scores in other matches, the black card may in fact be working to the good. Great to see such open high scoring games compared to the dreadful stuff we have seen. Donegal scored 2 - 19 today. When is the last time that happened?

Wow, heart is still racing. Great game, great scores. Crazy stuff in last minutes, never easy supporting Kildare!!

Re AOS; was in stand close to his black card incident and just re-watched before commenting and I think ref got it right.
AOS never tried to play the ball, it was a 50/50 ball with Chalky and AOS just played the man, pulled out of Chalky to stop him playing away with ball. Played man instead of ball, which is what black card is for. Watch it again. i also 100% agree that Cribben's card was fair as well.

Great game for this time for year, fantastic scores but is fear of black card curtailing defenders too much?

I think the black card is working well and is leading to more goal chances as can be seen from today's scores. As for Aidan O'Shea's black card I think the ref got it right as he had his arms around Chalky White. In case you think I'm biased I'll add that Cribbin's was deserved and Hurley could have gotten one as well.

Surely not a coincidence that we are having such high scoring games at same time as black card has been brought in? Jarlath Burns was making point on TG4 that it has not stopped the physicality - and Mayo/Kildare and last night were hard hitting - but it has cut down on the messier stuff. And refs in fairness seem to be allowing for legitimate physicality.

Would not have been fan of black card but what I've seen so far makes me inclined to change my mind.

Donegal's score today had more to do with Laois being poor than the black card.

I hope it does work well & anything that cuts down on fouling is welcome but I can see nothing but controversies later in the year when games are televised.

For me AOS should have been booked and nothing more, to be black carded for that seemed very harsh to me, him and White became entangled in the middle of the pitch it was hardly cynical or White was hardly running tru on goal or anything. Like I don't think the black card was brought in for what AOS did today. Just my opinion, Kildare deserved there win well done.
