Its hardly surprising with the way the GAA actually operate.

They HIDE from absolutley every difficuly or contenteous decision.

A lot of the reason it has gone on this long is because the "old cccc" knew that they were gone in April, so the attitude was, drag it out till then and we can walk away and leave it for the new lads to sort out. Now the "new CCCC" are in and themselves are looking for a way out. This has given them their way out now by putting it back until AFTER the 1st round games.

Do the CCCC have to give a reason for deferring their meeting until monday? Or is it just because they are yellow?

1174236 Think it has to be the same grade/not a lower grade but can't be 100% sure. To be honest I'm not sure about the hurling scenario. There can be a draw and they are fixed for next Wednesday.

Im not suggesting or in anyway advocating match fixing. But could you imagine the panic among the CCCC if that game finished in a draw on friday night......
what would be next weeks excuse? Weve deferred the meeting by another week because it goes against our tradition to hold meeting on the second Monday after the first cut of silage in the same month as a new moon...

Indeed it could be a draw and it would be interesting to see the stance they take then. Its obvious its the only way they can prevent the transfer at this stage. Why couldn't they have refused the transfer from day one? It would make it easier on everyone.

sedico, If there is a draw it won't matter as there are no replays in the early stages. Replays only come into effect from the knockout stage which is from the qf onwards. It's 2 pts for a win and a pt each for a draw.

Do winners not go on to the qtr finals therefore in the event of a draw there would have to be a replay? Maybe Im totally wrong.

Sedico, under the new system any team that wins two games goes striaght into the quarter finals. I have the format saved somewhere so I'll root it out and post it here.

What a complete cop out. He was asked on tuesday night to go up last night with more paperwork required. He travelled up last night with everything. Gave them everything they required and he was shot down and told no decision was going to be made knowing that he needed to line out on saturday. It's a disgrace and there was no answer giving for their delay until monday. Why not give him a yes or no last night and give him some basis of an answer as to why they said yes or no. It's cruel! and whether your for or against the transfer I think we can all agree that their behaviour and treatment of Seanie Johnston is a disgrace and it's wrong.
Bad intentions and this was the wrong way of going about what they wanted to do which was to stop it. It's been badly handled by them and it showcase's their inabilty to make the big decisions. No matter what anyone says the treatment he has been subject to is a disgrace. They should of Man the **** up and give him a fair hearing and a decision. Not coped out and ran scared. If you were against this transfer im sure your happy but im also sure you can admit that this was the wrong way of going about it.

sedico, I have just posted the new championship format over on the Kildare forum on the Kildare championship thread. It's a bit complicated at first glance.

Ok maybe I have that wrong but I thought I think they have to play at the hghest grade available in the club he transfers to. On other words he can't play with the second team. Again that could be rubbish too.

GAA copping out again from making a decision just like they did after the Louth v Meath Leinster Final. No balls among them !!

This is fast turning into a 1916 type development for the Gaa fans of Kildare. No one really agreed with the initial action but because the authorities behaved so despicably Seanie is going to be welcomed with open arms and two fingers to anyone with a gripe about the transfer ( Cavan folk excluded ).

This is a big one for them, If it goes through they are looking at many more in the future. They have the man that knows every loophole in the book, not allowed mention his name, dealing with it, stalling as much as possible at the moment in the hope it will go away for this year at least

We all know the reason for the delay. I do feel the cccc need to just act and say no. The problem is that most conditions have been met, but they do not believe the authenticity of them.
Its a bit like the oj thing everyone knows what went on but can't prove it.

So can st. Kevin's move their match and if they do will the cccc counteract that?

He's not on it, he's chairman of another one. Of course, the CCCC take advice on mattters relating to rules from the appropriate person or persons

Wouldn't exactly be fair on the opposition. However whats to stop Kildare GAA moving the game with the guarantee that SJ only comes for for the last 30 seconds?
