I might be wrong but I feel people are finally deciding they are sick of top table and lack of leadership..I see in papers today where croker made huge profits due to Garth brooks concerts..yet they decide to raise prices with no consideration given to supporters..once again a case of they don't care about ordinary supporters, again just my opinion..

The onslaught against Glen by the Dublin media is well under way. Philly McMahon is given space to attack the Derry club while snidey and biased articles are being thrown at Glen from so called journalists and commentators alike. Brolly is 100% correct. Glen are being treated like this because they are a Northern team while the Dublin Kilmacud millionaires are being feted and worshipped as usual.

Canavans article is a pretty fair take. Mcmahons article attacks Glen and makes out that they should be ashamed.

Very different articles.

In fairness Philly is hard to read/listen to at the best of times.

In fairness, two wrongs don't make a right. What happens when it happens again and it will?

Two outcomes: Kilmacud are winners but get fined. Hope fine goes to Glen.
Shared cup: Kilmacud get 6 months as winners, Glen get other 6 months.
No replay.

I wouldn't pay too much attention to Philly. He seems to have embarked on a new career of annoying people who admired him as a footballer. Not so much as a current affairs pundit...

Ha!

Kilmacud are easily the most disliked club in the country, and rightly so I might add.

If you wanna fete them go ahead but you are on your own.

Glen haven't accepted the result and that's their right imo. It's also fair enough that people might have a differing view.

Some white smoke expected later this afternoon after the two clubs meet with Croke Park. Hopefully they will make a decision and announce it straight away rather go off and take another week.

Glen players already back with Derry who are facing crucial league games over next few weeks so replay looking more and more unlikely.

Would I be right in saying that if Croke Park simply said that "having reviewed the evidence" they considered that no replay was merited then that would be the end of it?

I would categorise those 2 outcomes in to 2 probability categories...slim and none,
First outcome is unlikely . Second one definitely wont happen.

I'd pay very little attention to what McMahon writes anyway.

No. Whatever the decision is, it can be appealed against.

I see Ciaran Whelan has added his tuppence worth now, questioning the inclusion of the two Glen lads by Gallagher in their match against Limerick.

They're not children. I'm sure Gallagher knows exactly what is going on with them and most likely has discussed it with them. If they didn't want to play they'd hardly have been forced to nor told they'd never get a county jersey again. Most important thing for them now is Derry getting out of Division One. Not wondering what might happen after a match the week before, and any possible outcome of the inquiry.

It is perhaps another indication that a replay is highly unlikely. Result expected maybe in time for late news.

Think so. Wait till next week. Media attention will be on the leagues, enough to write about there.. It will all blow over. Maybe measures will be put in place to avoid it happening again, like enforcing what most other team sports do when substitutions take place..

Stop-clock needed in men's GAA.

And, when a team is less than 3 points ahead going into last 5 minutes, an additional minute added for every substitution and injury - in addition to actual time taken for the substitution / injury treatment.

There will be no replay (though there should be) Fine for sure though which will continue to keep the spotlight away from the Officials
