No lad you compared tennis and baseball. Not even in the same ball-park.

Ireland in a World Cup final and we can't even have our National anthem played…. A total disgrace. ForeverBlue2 (Cavan) - Posts: 1639 - 14/07/2023 18:00:07 2494416 Link 1 |
They'd have to play the UK anthem as well!!

Who cares about national anthem. It has no impact on the match/result

That's the reality for our oval ball game players, all PC etc. A World Cup Final, and no national anthem, presumably no tricolour as well. What a laugh.

They'd have to fly a UJ as well if they flew the Tricolour!

I could never figure out how he became as popular as he has. He is, or at least was - possibly improved a little - a pretty poor commentator, imo. I always thought he was a little too sweet to be wholesome as they say. That rambling statement of his about the car. He said he was employed exclusively on events GAA connected. What about Bloom, or the ploughing and other ventures? Nobody picked him up on it. Maybe little nixers, over and above. He is certainly the darling of somebodies eye in Montrose. Still, you have to admire how he works on that tan, and can keep the grey at bay. Impressive.

Interesting to see cork Gaa have handed over the pairc to Munster rugby again in February..obviously they don't really care about national league fixtures..can other counties now look to have their grounds used for soccer or rugby?or is it just cork gaa? Government money was given on the basis that it be made available to other sports.

That comment shows how little you know about the national anthem, or anything else for that matter.

Who cares? It doesn't impact how the result will go so why does it bother you. KillingFields (Limerick) - Posts: 3359 - 15/07/2023 19:58:37 2494610 Link 1 |
How does it show a lack of care for national league fixtures? Yea other counties could see venues used for other events. Good to see. Should be case for years KillingFields (Limerick) - Posts: 3359 - 15/07/2023 20:00:53 2494612 Link 2 |
They are handing over the pairc in the middle of the league..it will probably unavailable for a lot of matches because I take it work will need to be done to get pitch in order again..why didn't they request a champions cup match before Christmas?the ground wouldn't be needed for Gaa fixtures.. Or maybe just organise the league games to be away that weekend. It's not rocket science. Last November there was a game there the following Wednesday.
