Disappointing result. We were very careless with the ball and gave it back to Tyrone very easily and just looked off it today. We are definitely better than that performance. We worked hard and never gave up so the lads can hold their heads high. Disappointing result for the county minors in the All Ireland semi-final today. As always, they gave it 100% but too many handling/passing errors meant that possession was frequently turned over. While the wet conditions made it difficult for the players, I personally felt that a lot of Tyrone tacking/dragging was on the arms rather than on the ball, (marginal calls) but they certainly deserved their win; no doubt about that. Overall it was a very good year for the minor team and management. On a positive note, fair play to Sean Mulryan and Ballymore for developing a masterplan for a new green sustainable city for Athlone to cater for a population of 100,000 by 2040. If it goes ahead, hopefully most of the development will be on the Roscommon side of the Shannon and we get a few extra players for the county. It is a very impressive development team that he has put together so you never know. That was a very strong Tyrone team well coached in the dark arts !!the second half was very stop start with all the dragging and fouling.
