My Sources Tell me Joyce is staying on. great news. hopefully we can see a few new players from north galway drafted in from caltra -naughton ,mulryan , brendans - mulrooney & Quinn and even looking at kilcommons in annaghdown - could be worth more minutes.

This lad is a serious player probably 2 or 3 years ago was the best forward in Armagh club football, top top player just never went for him at county level for some reason, I will be interested to see how he goes at Galway club which would be a higher standard than Armagh club football,

He would be a great addition to Jarlaths as a teacher also

Anyone else think Conor Gleeson was snubbed with the All Stars? I also can't understand the decision to nominate Shane Walsh, I'd be the first to defend him here but this was not his year for various reasons.

Leitir Mor to beat Dunmore by a couple of points. Can't see where Dunmore will get enough scores from.
Tuam to edge out Mountbellew but neither team is going anywhere
Oughterard to win by 3. Expect them to kick on a bit after squeaking through the group."
Both Tuam and Mountbellew are going to Ballinasloe tonight and one of them will go on to the Quaters so I guess your post is incorrect

I can't understand that. Of all years I think he was the best goalkeeper in different aspects of the game. He dealt with a lot of extremely pressurised situations very well and had an influence out the field too. I think he deserved the award.

Kilannin are dogsss! So hard to beat.
As for MM with the talent they had one county title is an underachievement?
They obviously came across the great Corofin team and have had bad injuries but I think they will be disappointed with one.

He definitely deserved to be nominated this year of all years.

He's not the best goalkeeper in any department. While he has been OK at times don't tell me that our hearts aren't in our mouths every time he goes near the ball.

The north Galway ***** again. Hopefully Joyce will bring in someone who knows something about management. Maybe someone who won't leave a man missing frees for the whole All Ireland final. Clueless at best. Let's keep PJ on for interviews. Sure lookit, he is quite entertaining at those.

We don't want any emerging talent from the west? Right?

Ryan Roche is some player. Saw him v annaghdown and he stood out for me as the best player on the pitch. Last night again. Everytime he got the ball his team became more confident. You'd think he was one of their senior players and not a teenager

Dara walsh could hopefully have a big future too. Still very young. Showing potential.

I believe I was the only one here who predicted Killanin would win. Will be interesting to see who's drawn against who. Anyone have any update on Comer? Is he out now for the rest of the club matches? Annadown wont get any further without him.

You could argue that MM underachieved. But also bear in mind that for the the past 40 years MM have been competing predominantly at B level underage apart from a golden era of about 4 or 5 year age group years centred around the year that Michael Daly, Eoin Finnerty, Colm Mannion, Leo Donnellan, were born ( 1996 I think). With those groups they got to a few under age finals winning 0 x U14, 0 x U16 , 1 x Minor and 2 x U21. Not a massive amount of success compared to the Corofins/Salthills/Claregalways. So on one hand maybe 1 FF was a poor return but relative to Salthill and Claregalway in recent years 1 isn't too bad!

I don't think that is what the poster is suggesting it is more likely that this poster is only making observations about players known to this person and is not familiar with players from senior and intermediate teams from the city and western areas.People are more aware of things that are closer to themselves because they have more exposure to them and should be allowed voice their opinions as they see them.

Could Cian Folan make an impact with Galway old school forward strong & stays clsoe to goal and a good finisher
