in terms of the business ends i cant see past corofin winning the senior and brendans michaels or caltra winning the intermediate. Caherlistrane look almost sure to be intermediate next year (they just dont have the players and cant afford the likes of darcy to be away) with menlough destined for the drop back to junior as they havent really picked up any good players since hughes who must be pushing on big time. bally4gar! They were a very physical team with all big men in the middle and they can run the ball well. The Monaghan brothers are great runners with the ball. Number 3 and 4 for Oughterard look to be very tight defenders and didn't leave Grainger or Rohan a ball inside. I can see them causing team's problems as they can mix it both ways. Annaghdown looked good and kept the ship steady even when comer went off. They're midfielder is very athletic and came out with a goal against kilannin. Kilannin clawed their way back into the game even though they also were a man down but couldn't close the gap. Darragh Hegarty and Kilcommins looked good for Annaghdown. Roche looks like an up and coming top midfielder for kilannin." Yes the Monaghan brothers were great, as was Adam Tierney, I think Oughterard will beat Milltown. Completely agree about Maigh Cuillin in third gear - frustrating to watch them, no risks at all, hopefully we will see more pace and intensity in the next few match's. would be great to see a bit of encouragement and support around joyce and his mgmt. the men have done absolute wonders. if you were told wed be in two all irelands out of 3 from were we were and with injuries. dont believe the grass is always greener and we might see more attacking styles next yr. with no o neill and more input from JD whose work in UCD is hugely apparent bally4gar! Claregalway have made progress over recent years but they have a significant handicap as there is not a strong football tradition in their catchment area, hurling clubs like Turloughmore, Carnmore, Castlegar, have history on their side.It is difficult for any club to make a major break through from under such a reality.They must be commended for their ongoing efforts and given due credit for their achievements. backtooldwall (Galway) - Posts: 126 - 17/09/2024 17:56:34 2570446 Link

It's just as likely we made the final in spite of PJ rather than because. James' by a point. Conroy will be enough to swing it in their favour. Leitir Mor to beat Dunmore by a couple of points. Can't see where Dunmore will get enough scores from. Tuam to edge out Mountbellew but neither team is going anywhere Oughterard to win by 3.
