It's a great time to be part of Blessington G.A.A. Club, with training, matches and other events happening almost every day.  With the summer holidays drawing near, we would like to remind all parents and children that everyone is welcome at our Academy and Juvenile events.  We especially invite you to take part in our C?l Camps.  Running from 7-11th July for all children aged 6-13 years.  Full gear is provided and places are available at a low cost of Ä55.  Please contact Chris O'Connor to book your children's places now, they are sure to go quickly!  Phone: 086 865 0518. Our annual Golf Classic took place on Friday 21st June in Baltinglass Golf Club.  The views and landscaping of this beautiful course were highlighted even more with the glorious weather.  The days before and after were absolutely terrible, so the Classic took place at the perfect day.  Well done to all the teams who took part; it was a great day enjoyed by all.  Congratulations to Helen Hennessy and Pat Magee for organising a great event. Our Junior A Team played their first game in the Championship Series against Newcastle on Friday evening. They put in a gallant performance, but unfortunately were pipped in the end. The top teams go through, so the lads are well in with a chance.  Wishing you the best of luck! On Sunday, our Senior Team played Donard Glen in Stratford and although the weather conditions were difficult, they earned a solid win at 0-9 to 0-7. Later that evening, the lads made their way to Avon Ri in Blessington for a presentation from their new sponsors.  It was a lovely evening with a large group of family, friends and supporters watching the lads receive their new kits from Avon Ri owner, Jim Stanley.  Our thanks go to the staff of Avon Ri for all their efforts and we look forward to seeing the lads decked out in their finest for the next match.  Please do come along on Saturday 28th June to see us play Stratford in Baltinglass at 6pm.
