Victory delights 'Bosco'

Glenealy's Jonathan 'Bosco' O'Neill has been there and done it all regards hurling, but he admits that his latest success is up there with anything he's achieved in the past.
O'Neill produced a man of the match performance to help Glenealy end Bray Emmets' domination on the Wicklow hurling scene as the seaside town sought a fourth consecutive victory.
However, it was not to be their day as Glenealy returned to the winners enclosure for the first time in four years and O'Neill stressed to the Wicklow People that the win was for all the community.
“It's unbelievable. We're a small little village, we're three hurling clubs, we got to the junior final, we're in the semi-final of the intermediate, we've won the senior, it's what we do in Glenealy,” said O'Neill.
“We don't have a football team, you see the young lads going through the village and they always have hurls. And that's what it's all about, our little village.
“And we have the best supporters around. When we're not winning, they can be a bit on top of you because there's more in us. They're like ourselves, you know, they don't like losing, so this day is for the whole village.”
