DONARD/GLEN FOOTBALL NOTES
It is either a feast or a famine on the sporting front in our area. This week unfortunately it was famine week.
Starting on Tuesday in Baltinglass our senior camogie team lost to Kiltegan. This brought an end to their interest in the championship.
On Wednesday in Donard our ladies football team were well beaten by a very strong Baltinglass team. This loss brought an end to their interest in the Junior "A" championship and now it is on to the junior "B" championship that we won last year.
On Thursday in Donard our juniors lost the local derby to Dunlavin. They had every chance to win or draw this game but our forwards left their shooting boots at home.

On Friday in Donard our seniors lost their division 1 game to Hollywood. This game was like our championship game to Carney where we started very slow and were in arrears at the break.
They really got stuck in in the second period but our neighbours seemed to want the points more than our lads and won by four points.

Donard-Glen Juvenile GAA
Our U12 team played a blitz in Blessington on Monday 9th August. Super football was played on the night. Thanks to Blessington for hosting. Our team was Ellen Grace, Conor Kelly, Michael Kelly, Brian Dunne, Amy Metcalfe, Aoife Grace, Sorcha Wright, Shane Eager, Chloe Dwyer, Richard Moody, Emma Lynch Cunningham and Claire Grace. Well done to all players. The next U12 blitz will be on in Blessington on Monday 23rd August at 6.45pm. We are hosting Go-Games on this Saturday 21st August at 10.10am in the pitch.
