The draws for the quarter-finals of the Wicklow senior football championship and Keating Cup competition were held at a meeting in Aughrim earlier this week.

Defending champions Rathnew will take on Donard-The Glen, the winners of which will meet either Blessington or Stratford-Grangecon in the semi-finals.

Kiltegan, who emerged victorious in 2008, will hope to bounce back from their surprise group stage defeat at the hands of Newtown last weekend when they meet St Patrick's, while Bray Emmets take on Baltinglass in the other quarter-final tie.

All four games are due to take place on the weekend of August 28/29, with the semi-finals on September 11/12 and the final pencilled in for Sunday, October 3.

Meanwhile, the draw for the Keating Cup quarter-finals, for the eight sides who did not qualify for the quarter-finals, has also taken place.

Newtown will play Hollywood, An Tochar take on Dunlavin (the winners of those two games meet in the semi-finals), AGB Carnew meet Carnew and Tinahely face Coolkenno (again, with the winners of the latter-mentioned games going head to head in the last four).

The four losing Keating Cup quarter-finalists will go into the relegation play-offs to decide which side must drop into the intermediate football championship for next year. Tweet
