Hurlers travel to Swords
March 05, 2010
The Wicklow hurlers will travel to Swords tomorrow for their rescheduled National League clash with Fingal.
The Garden County are likely to be short a number of players who had booked holidays for what was supposed to be a weekend off, but Fingal have also lost two of their best players to Anthony Daly's Dublin hurling squad. The game was originally fixed for two weeks ago, but was postponed due to snow.
After a dismal 2009, Wicklow have made an encouraging start to the new campaign which has included a fine win over Armagh in the Kehoe Cup Shield final. Armagh's victory over Fingal in the Shield semi-final would suggest this is a game Wicklow are well capable of taking full points from.
