Wicklow boss Mick O'Dwyer says he is glad to get a second chance in this year's championship when his side take on Fermanagh this Saturday in the first round of the All-Ireland SFC qualifiers. The Garden men made their exit from the Leinster SFC last month at the hands of Westmeath after extra-time and will be looking to claim what would be a famous scalp over last year's Ulster finalists at Aughrim this weekend. "Sure isn't this what we were looking for; to get a second chance in the qualifiers. Haven't Wicklow and all the other teams like them the same right as everyone else; the right to a second chance. We will be giving it our best shot on Saturday and I believe we can do it," said O'Dwyer. The sides have met four times in previous competition, with Wicklow winning just once, but O'Dwyer will be keen to try and even up that record this time round. "Fermanagh, like ourselves have never won a provincial title at senior level. Alright they have been improving steadily in recent years and this team is longer on the road. While that means that they have gained valuable experience it also means that they have suffered more defeats and setbacks," said the Kerry man.
