CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS A very big day for ladies football in Wicklow. One Junior and two Senior Championship games in Aughrim. Two Senior B Championship games in Hollywood. In the Junior Championship Semi-final Baltinglass had a big win over Clara. With Geraldine Norton and Annemarie Doran the unstoppable strike force the Clara defence were stretched to the limit. With Julie Fitzmaurice at midfield, Fiona Finn and Louise Byrne outstanding in the defence the Baltinglass selection looked very strong on the day. For Clara Liz Cahill, Adrienne OConnor and Elaine Hughes were best. Baltinglass scored 5 -14 to 3 3 for Clara. In the second game in Aughrim the big teams from the big towns played each other in another very good game. This was in the senior championship semi final Arklow V Bray. It was touch and go all the way until about ten minutes from time Arklow took over when a Bray player was sin binned and there defence did trogon work to hold out the slick Bray forwards. Medlar (0-1), N, Colman, (1-4) and J. Russell. At half time the sides were level 1-4 each. The third game in Aughrim was high scoring cracker of a game between An Tochar and Eire Og. The Greystones team controlled the first half and led by 2-7 to 1-5 at the break. In the second half the Roundwood got back into the game and scored 4-4 to Eire Ogs 2-2. Sub Nicky Dunne had a crucial say in the game scoring 3 1. The An Tochar team was T. Molloy, B. Fox, L. OGorman, R. McCauley, J. Nolan (0-1), J. OGorman, S. Miley (0-2), M. Lynch, F. White, A. Ahern (0-4), S. Riordanh (0-1), S. Nolan (2-0), K. Ryder, L. Long, M. Deeney, (2-1), Up in Hollywood in Senior B Championship, Valleymount had a good win over Carnew. J. Miley, M. Nugent, M.
