Kilcoole Camogie News

June 22, 2009
The Under 14s opened the action this week with a victory in the County League against Ballinacor. Well done! This match was temporarily interrupted by a thunderstorm which added a little unexpected excitement to the occasion. There was disappointment all round when Friday's game for the U12s did not take place as Kiltegan could not travel. On Sunday the U10s had a win in the Dublin League with a 3-2 scoreline against Thomas Davis at the end of a very exciting game between two well matched teams. This fixture was played on the magnificent all weather facility in Kiltipper Road, which was a great experience for us. This panel has worked very hard this season and their dedication finally paid off! The players on the day were: Sara Davis, Jade Byrne, Sarah Mohan, Lorna Bates, Grace Bruton, Kaitlin Daly Larkin, Emma Davis, Ava Condon, Kiana Merriman and Caitlin O'Toole. Well done once again to all the players and the supporters who travelled and thanks thanks also to Thomas Davis for their hospitality. Fixtures coming up this week are: Wed U16 v. Aughrim, Thurs Inter v. Craobh Chiarain, Fri U12 v. Annacurra, Sun U9 v. Naomh Olaf  and on Mon the U14s play Glenealy in the Championship. All games this week are away. On Tues June 30 the Intermediate team plays Avondale at home at 7.30pm. The 'Grasshoppers' Camogie Nursery continues on Tuesday @ 5.30 followed by training for all other age groups. Reminder: Don't forget to sign up for the GAA Cul Camp which will take place in Kilcoole at the end of July. Breda Donnelly
