Newtown club notes

June 22, 2009
Newtown GAA club extends best wishes to Patsy Clarke who has retired having been the FAS worker on our club grounds for the past eight years. Congratulations from all at Newtown GAA to Peter Keogh who recently celebrated his 80th birthday. As interest in the County Development gains momentum, tickets are still available from all committee members. There will be four draws, each one including a car, holiday, and numerous cash prizes. Tickets at Ä100 each, cover entry to all 4 draws, so get one now and avoid disappointment as the first draw is coming up on July 24th. The compilation of the history of the club continues. If anyone has old photos of the village and shops in the Main Street and would like them to be included in the history, drop them in to Robert as soon as possible. A wreath laying service to remember deceased members of Newtown GAA will take place this Sunday, 28th of June in Kilmurray cemetary immediately following the 11.30 am mass. Everybody welcome to attend. Lotto jackpot is now at Ä8,600.
