Aughrim 1-11 Ballymanus 1-9 Aughrim edged a local derby against Ballymanus by a narrow two-point margin last week in Division Two thanks to a first-half goal from wing forward Theo Kavanagh. The winners struck their goal 15 minutes into the game when Kavanagh blasted to the net for a 1-5 to 0-5 lead at the interval before his side came roaring out for the restart to open up a seven-point lead. Full-forward Richard Keegan topscored on the day with 0-6 to help cancel out the late scores of Mark Kenny, Micheal Stapleton and a goal from substitute Olly Murphy, so as Aughrim could hold on.
