Furlong would love crack at Dubs

June 13, 2009
Seanie Furlong says the prospect of facing Dublin in front of a full house at Croke Park is a huge incentive for Wicklow ahead of tomorrow's Leinster SFC clash with Westmeath. Westmeath have played Dublin in three big championship encounters at GAA headquarters since 2004, but for Wicklow it would represent new territory. "The prize of meeting Dublin in the semi-final will be great motivation for us on Sunday and we will be going out to give it a good lash. Westmeath will start out as favourites, but we feel we can do it," the Kiltegan man said. "Our supporters have been brilliant too and they gave the team a great lift when Longford came back at us. We just hope they will turn up in Tullamore in as great if not greater numbers on Sunday to cheer us on and hopefully we can do it for them on the field," the full forward added.
