New York U14 Hurling challenge game v Boston .

April 19, 2017

On Saturday morning the New York U14 Hurlers had a very productive challenge game against Boston in the fantastic setting of Glastonbury CT. With some great skill on show from both teams.

Stand out performers in defence for New York was Ronan McAlister at centre half back as well as Aston Walsh at wing half back and keeper Nevin Murphy who kept a clean sheet.

The midfielders had a fantastic game with Joey Grace scoring 1-8 with some amazing long range scores , with St Patrick's Luke Giardina showing excellent work rate to break down many of Boston's attacks.

In attack wing half forwards Ronan O'Donnell who scored 4 brilliant points from play and Shay McElliot performed well.

Overall a very productive game of Hurling for both sides , New York players will continue training and preparing for their trip to the Connacht Hurling Feile in the summer as well as the NYMB Club Hurling Championships.
