The club championships commanded centre stage today with as many as eleven massive encounters taking place around the country.
In football, it was senior county final day in Tyrone, Cavan, Wicklow, Wexford, Leitrim, Clare and Carlow. Who would collect the major silverware on offer and progress to their respective provincial competitions?
It was also a huge day in club hurling, with the Cork and Laois SHC deciders going down for decision as well as both Ulster semi-finals.
