Fermanagh defender Aidan Breen has admitted that it is hard to turn down the lure of playing football in the States for the summer.

The Tempo clubman is one of hundreds of GAA players that descend on the U.S for the summer months to play Gaelic football or hurling.

Breen has linked up with the Sligo club in New York recently and he told the Fermanagh Herald that he is thoroughly enjoying the experience.

"The Sligo club over here have been brilliant, when Fermanagh got knocked out by Mayo it was just an idea of mine," said Breen.

"After a while there were a few clubs that said they would love to have me and I decided to join Sligo after speaking to a few people that I already knew out here."

He added: "It is a great experience to come over here, I was at the Carl Frampton fight on Saturday night with a group of lads and we had a great night's craic."
