Ten Dublin players make our football team of the week...

1. Stephen Cluxton (Dublin)

Normal service was restored as the Dublin captain failed just once to find an outfield colleague from a kick-out.

2. Chris Barrett (Mayo)

Arguably Mayo's best defender, Barrett had his moments against Bernard Brogan and Paddy Andrews.

3. Rory O'Carroll (Dublin)

The Dublin defence had a more solid look about it thanks to the Kilmacud Crokes player's presence.

4. Philly McMahon (Dublin)

Came in for a lot of flak following the drawn game but responded in the best possible fashion in scoring 1-2 for the Leinster champions.

5. James McCarthy (Dublin)

Always looking to put the Dubs on the front foot, he sent over a point and didn't neglect his defensive duties.

6. Cian O'Sullivan (Dublin)

Jim Gavin will be sweating over the fitness of the versatile O'Sullivan ahead of the final as he pulled up late on.

7. Lee Keegan (Mayo)

Came out on top in his personal duel with Diarmuid Connolly but should have kicked a point which would have given his team a five point advantage.

8. Brian Fenton (Dublin)

The only starting midfielder to last the 70 minutes, Fenton helped set up 2-2 for the winners and also raised a white flag for good measure.

9. Michael Darragh Macauley (Dublin)

Made a strong claim for including on the final starting 15 after coming off the bench in the 44th minute and playing a big part in his team's seven-point victory.

10. Diarmuid O'Connor (Mayo)

Did his chances of claiming the Young Footballer of the Year accolade later in the year no harm at all with another enterprising display.

11. Ciaran Kilkenny (Dublin)

Two points from play from the capital's play-maker, he led by example from start to finish.

12. Kevin McLoughlin (Mayo)

McLoughlin opened Mayo's account and wasn't shy when it came to putting in the tackles but the end product was lacking at times.

13. Cillian O'Connor (Mayo)

No finger of blame for Mayo's defeat can be pointed in the direction of the Ballintubber ace who top scored for the Pat Holmes/Noel Connelly outfit with 1-6.

14. Paddy Andrews (Dublin)

Keith Higgins will be glad to see the back of the St Brigid's clubman who produced a five star display and finished with five points to his name.

15. Bernard Brogan (Dublin)

On top of registering 1-1, the 2010 Footballer of the Year created plenty of chances for his forward colleagues.
