Dulwich Harps club notes

LADIES FOOTBALL

Congratulations to the Ladies team on winning the Tom O'Connor Cup against St. Anthony's in Greenford on Saturday. In a pulsating encounter, the sides could not be separated at the end of normal time after a high scoring game. In extra time, Dulwich showed great composure to hold out their opponents on a score line of 6-18 to 4-19.

MEN'S FOOTBALL

The Men's team played against Thomas McCurtains in the Division 3 league play off in Greenford on Saturday. Similar to the Ladies game, it was a nip and tuck affair with both teams remaining within a point of each other until the 55th minute when McCurtains scored a well taken goal. However, the lads dug in and scored an injury time goal when Niall Russell chipped the ball in from the 45 and ended up in the back of net. A number of players have claimed credit for the flick on but we will credit Russell for it!

At the time of print, we await news of when we play Tara in the next round of the playoff. Training continues on Thursday evenings at 7:15 p.m. at Prendergast Ladywell Fields College, SE4, 1SA.
