St Anthony's captain Brian Morrissey was a proud man collecting the JFC Cup last Sunday.

The Reading-based club defeated St Claret's by 1-09 to 1-08 in the decider at Ruislip last weekend in what was an entertaining game of football.

Speaking to the Irish Post he said: "First and foremost, what a game of football. I have to say, St Claret's, complete hard lines to you boys. You know yourselves it could have gone either way in the last few minutes there, but you'll be there or thereabouts next year again.

"Nobody expected us to get this far, never mind lifting the Cup. It's been blood, sweat and tears, everything we put in this year."
