Tir Chonaill Gaels Club Notes

August 10, 2015

Seniors
The seniors got off to a winning start in the  defence of the championship on Saturday afternoon in Ruislip. A closely contested first half  in warm conditions saw the saw the Gaels lead at the break with a score of 1-04 to 0-4. Despite conceding an early goal, the boys upped the momentum in the second half with a few well taken points in quick succession. Shortly after a disallowed goal, a well taken goal from Adrian Hanlon after a few quick interchanges gave the Gaels a commanding lead. A goal from the Towers in the dying seconds of the game brought the final score to 2-13 to 2-06. Best on the day were Brian Duddy, Marty McCoy and Adrian Hanlon notching up the vital goals.
