Results

Shields cup quarter final 30/06/2015 St Brendans   1-12     vs         1-8       Harlesden Harps

Away from recent league action, in the third competition of the year, Harlesden entertained St. Brendans at Greenford on a muggy Thursday evening. It was Harlesden who began the match with a higher tempo, racing into the lead. Any decent passages of play from Brendans came to nothing as Harlesden continually snuffed out the danger.

Half Time St Brendans   0-2: 0-9 Harlesden Harps

On resumption, Brendans simplified their game plan, securing primary possession in midfield though Philip Gray, with James Grant, Ryan Jones and Barry Lydon providingassistance. Ryan Jones lofted a huge point as Brendans continued to puncture holes in the Harlesden defence. As the game reached the closing stages, it was that man again, Jones, with an insurance point to secure Brendans passage to the semi-final. Best for Brendans, Philip Gray, Ryan Jones.

Division 2 Round 5 4/7/2015 St Brendans 2-9 St Anthony's 2-8

Brendans arrived at sunny Kings Meadow minus a number of players. Playing again the breeze in the first half, began the brighter with a points from James Minogue and Shane Healy. Brian Cassidy followed up with another point before St. Anthonys got on the score board. Niall Campbell made it four points to Brendans, before a long diagonal ball as fisted home by the St. Anthony wing forward to draw the scores level. Brendans continues to use possession well, but lost Dannie O Conner to injury, meaning player manager Joe Coulter was sprung from the bench. Anthonys tagged on another couple of points, before they were awarded a plenty, which rebounding off the post to the taker who slotted home. Brendans responded well and a long range shot came off the post and fell to Niall Campbell who duly slotted home a goal.

Half time St Brenands 1-4 St Anthony's 2-5

Brendans controlled what possession they had in the second half. With David Dunne, Mark Tutty and Barry Llydon keeping the defence secure, James Minogue struck his second point of the match. Indeed it was Minogue's drive in midfield that kept Brendans driving forward, leading to a John Bo Daly goal to draw the team's level. David Dunne drove forward again to slot over a point, but Anthony's kept in touch with points of their own. In the closing stages, a foul on Daly meant Campbell could covert to give victory to Brendans by the slimmest of margins. Best for Brendans Mark Tutty, David Dunne, James Minogue, Niall Campbell

Brendans Barry Gallagher, Mark Tutty, Barry Llydon, Brian Cassidy, James Grant, David Dunne, Shane Kennedy, Philip Gray, James Mingoue, Shane Healy, Niall Campbell, Eamon O Neill, Brian Cunniffe, John Bo Daly, Dannie O Connor. Sub Joe Coulter for O Connor (inj)

In 2013, the London County board of the GAA began plans to re-develop Ruislip GAA grounds. London GAA have to raise £500,000 to make this vision become a reality. Tremendous support has been pledged already, however with the help of the supporters of the GAA throughout the UK, this project will not go ahead. The stadium will be completed by May 2015 subject to planning permission being obtained in July 2014. For a donation of £125, the london GAA will erect a plague on a seat with your name or a name you nominate. Seats are randomly allocated although your name will be on a seat, it does not reserve you the opportunity to use the seat with your name on any given day.
