Ladies training continues in East London Rugby Club (E15 3BP) Tuesday 7pm and Goodmayes pitch Thursday 7pm.

Huge congratulations to the ladies who are London Junior Champions for 2015 after winning the Junior Championship Final in Ruislip beating TCG 5-13 to 5-4. They will now go on to compete in the All-Britain Championship. The ladies dominated the first half and put an impressive 3-11 on the scoreboard. TCG started the second half strong and it was end to end play for the remainder of the game. Stand out performances from Aoife Fitzpatrick, Kellie Carr and Therese Cosgrave. Thanks to Finnian and Richie for their hard work throughout the year and all the best to all the McCurtains ladies who played their last match for the club on Sunday. Their dedication on and off the pitch will be hard to match.

MENS FOOTBALL NOTES

Training continues Tuesday and Thursday in Goodmayes at 7.30pm.

The Footballers played the quarter final of the Mullarkey Cup Against Tir Chonaill Gaels in Ruislip on Sunday. The game was played at a very high tempo with TCG starting the better of the two sides with a couple of quick points. McCurtain's settled into the game midway through the first half but conceded a goal close to half time and went in at the break 1-05 to 0-04 down. The second half continued in the same manner but two quick goals from McCurtain's levelled the game with about 10 minutes remaining. TCG used the wind to their advantage and scored a couple of quick points to run out winners. Final result Thomas McCurtain's 2-07 Tir Conaill Gaels 1-15.

The Footballers are down to play Round Three of the League Against Eire Og in Greenford on Sunday 5th July at 12.00pm.

MENS HURLING NOTES

The Hurlers drew yesterday with Fulham Irish 2-09 to 2-09 in the third Round of the League with Sean Costello and Dean Corrigan playing well.
