Murphy Cup Final

Moindearg  0-9   St. Joseph's  1-09

We played St Joseph's in the Final of the Murphy Cup last Saturday in Ruislip losing by a goal. We trailed at half time 1-05 0-5 with first half scores from  Darren McGowan, John Lynch, Sean McGowan and two frees from Alan Dunne. The Joes extended their lead with an early point in the second half before we reduced the deficit with a free from Alan Dunne and a point from Neil O'Shea. Three unanswered points from the Joes meant they had a five point lead with five minutes to go. Another free from Alan Dunne and a late score from Sean McGowan meant a goal separated the sides, however it wasn't to be our day with the game finishing 1-09  0-9. Congratulations to St Joseph's who were deserved winners on the day.
