Bergin admits better team won

February 20, 2015

A disappointed Kilburn Gaels manager Tom Bergin admitted that they were beaten by the better team in the All-Ireland club IHC final.

The London champions went down to Antrim's O'Donovan Rossa and Bergin told the Irish Post that their opponents deserved their victory.

"Rossa were slicker and more cohesive, with better team work. They used the pitch well and they used the overlap - everything - things just went well for them," said Bergin.

"Obviously, they had practiced it, and we did too. Some days you can go out there and a lad can hit ten points and some days he might not get any."
