Liverpool's John Mitchel's are hoping to get back to Croke Park by beating Moate All-Whites in today's All-Ireland club JFC semi-final at Navan.

The All-Britain champions lost the final of the same competition to Skellig Rangers in 2009, but are determined to make amends this year.
Mitchel's manager Barry Morris told the Liverpool Echo: "It's as big as it gets, an All-Ireland club semi-final, and if we win we play in the final in Croke Park.

"Back in 2009 we got to the final but we were beat by a point, so this year is a perfect opportunity to put a wrong right.

"We play in the Lancashire Championship, within Lancashire there are about 16 clubs at present so it is competitive and a very good standard of football here at the minute Teams from the area usually represent themselves well, and winning the All-Britain like we have will serve us well in facing championship sides from Ireland.

"Winning the All-Ireland title would be a huge honour an achievement for the club, it's not a good memory in 2009 when we were beaten in the final, but we need to concentrate on getting over the first hurdle and winning the semi-final this weekend."
