Harlesden Harps club notes

August 11, 2014
Harps played St Josephs in the last championship group game in Greenford on Saturday the 2nd of August.Already in the semis after two wins this was still a good battle for the Harps .Played in nice conditions except for an almighty shower that sent the mass of supporters and dogs to the club house Matty Holohan scored 4 points to set Harps away with a nice lead in the first half.In the second half Joes battled well and set up a great finish by coming to within a point but Harps tagged on a couple more to win by 3 on a soreline of 1 16 to 0 16.Best for Harps on the day were goalie Eamonn Moylett and speedy wing back Aidan Lynam.Fair play to all the umpires and linesmen who stood their ground during the washout! Thanks to Greenes afterwards for the music.
Next game is our semi against St Brendans this weekend the 16th,17th August.Get out and cheer the lads on in our biggest game in a few years.
Best of luck to our captain and great clubman Chris Mc Conville who goes teaching in the Middle East in September.
Training is at the Shamrock at 7.45pm tues and thurs.
