GAA analyst Joe Brolly believes that Tyrone's desire to win an All-Ireland could get them over the line against Dublin in the semi-final.

The sides will clash in an eagerly awaited contest on Sunday, August 27th as two of the giants of Gaelic football meet in what should be a titanic battle.

Writing in his weekly column for the Derry Journal, the 1993 All-Ireland SFC winner feels that Tyrone will bring a ferocity to the game that Dublin won't be able to match, given the success they have had in recent years.

Brolly also puts the Tyrone defence ahead of Dublin's but added that the defending champions have the better forwards. All in all, the outspoken pundit has stated that this would be Tyrone's greatest victory if they can overcome one of the greatest sides to ever grace the game.

"Tyrone have a marginally better defensive system. They have an equally good keeper. They don't foul, so Dean Rock's influence will not be as important as usual," stressed Brolly.

"Their forwards are not as good as Dublin's but they are still very skilled footballers. Crucially, Tyrone's desire is bound to be ferocious. They have been building towards this for four years. Whereas the Dubs - as intense and professional as they are - cannot have that level of desire.

"It will be the most demanding eighty minutes of their lives, against a workaholic, versatile, ruthless opponent. It would be their greatest ever victory, even greater than their triumphs of the noughties, as those Tyrone players were better and this Dublin team is truly great. But history teaches us that anyone can be beaten."
