Tipperary forward John O'Dwyer will undergo a scan on Wednesday to determine how much damage has been done to his finger.
Having propelled the Premier County into the lead with a great early goal, the All Star was withdrawn ten minutes into the second half of Sunday's league semi-final loss to Waterford at Nowlan Park with a suspected broken finger.
The Killenaule clubman will find out tomorrow the full extent of the damage but it is extremely unlikely that he'll miss his team's Munster SHC opener against either Clare or Limerick as that game is still a full two months away.
