The Tipperary county senior hurling championship gets up and running this weekend.

A total of eight matches will go down for decision over the course of the Easter Bank Holiday weekend. The domestic championships were held up last year by the Premier County's run to the All-Ireland final and replay; the County Board's CCC is determined to ensure something similar doesn't happen this year!

Mid champions Drom-Inch will lock horns with Borris-Ileigh in what promises to be a cracker at Dolla on Sunday - a double-header also featuring Holycross Ballycahill V Roscrea.

There's also a double-header in Boherlahan on Sunday: county champions Sarsfields face neighbours Moycarkey Borris and Moyne Templemore take on Carrick.

The first of three double-headers over the course of the weekend is at Nenagh on Sunday: Lorrha V Loughmore Castleiney and Silvermines V Portroe.

And there are two other matches on Sunday: Nenagh hosts the meeting of Burgess and Kilruane MacDonagh while Toomevara and Mullinahone face off at Templetuohy.
