St Mary's are on the look out for a new manager after Glenn Young stepped down from the position.

Young's decision comes following their county semi final defeat to Eastern Harps last weekend and he immediately told the players in the dressingroom afterwards.

Speaking to the Sligo Champion, Young cited family commitments as the reason for his decision after being involved on the club scene for many years.

"I told the players after the game that this was my last managerial job," said Young. "I've a young family and with the time it takes as well, I've been 13 years on the trot doing this and I need a break. It's getting to a stage where I want to put the feet up."

He added that St Mary's performance against the Harps was nowhere neargood enough to win the match.

"It was a very poor performance. Seeing where we were at after the quarterfinal win and then looking at how we could be that bad in the semi-final. It probably you know came down to a lot of things. We were a bit complacent, maybe thinking too much about a county final and not working hard enough."
