Enniscrone/Kilglass GAA notes

December 01, 2014

Intermediate management

Before a large meeting on Sunday evening last, Enda Mulrooney and Brian Mahon were selected to take charge of our intermediate footballers for 2015, with Damien McCaffrey and David Hannon acting as selectors. We wish all four the very best of luck in their new role.
We extend our sincere thanks to Raymond Carden, JP Carden, Eamonn O'Malley and Declan Hughes for putting forward their names as an alternative management team. Eamonn and Declan put in two years of hard work with the team previously, and we are indebted to them for their service to the club in that period. We all now move forward to what will hopefully be a successful 2015 on the playing field.
December events

December is set to be a busy month for our club. On Friday the 12th, we will be holding our Annual General Meeting at 9pm in the Diamond Coast Hotel, Enniscrone. As always, we encourage as many people as possible to attend this meeting as we review 2014 and plan for the coming year.

Then, at Christmastime, our annual married vs singles match is set to take place on Sunday, December 28th at Quigabar. This is definitely a date for your diary as it is always a fantastic event, with many club legends taking to the field to test their wits against their younger counterparts, and there are always plenty of talking points in the aftermath! Everyone is welcome to play, and all proceeds will go towards a designated charity.

Finally, on Monday 29th of December, our annual dinner dance will take place in the Diamond Coast Hotel, Enniscrone. This promises to be a terrific evening's entertainment as we honour our successful teams from 2014, as well as presenting our usual awards. More details will be made available in the coming week.

FBD League 2015
We are delighted to confirm that the Sligo-Galway FBD League opening round clash on January 4th will take place at our grounds in Quigabar. The game is given added spice with Kevin Walsh, former Sligo boss, bringing the Tribesmen back to Sligo for the first time since his appointment. It will also be Niall Carew's first game in charge of the Sligo footballers.
