St Johns GAA club under 10's completed their final blitz before the summer break at Markievicz Park on Saturday morning. It's been a great start to the season with 25 children taking part in the group. We fielded two teams in each series of games and the performances improved immensely helped in no small way by all who helped out with the Monday night coaching.

The club decided this year to base their underage structure in Cleveragh and this has proved a great success. It's been great to see the crowds of children each Monday and Wednesday night watched by the many parents, a great spectacle for all to see.

Many thanks to all who helped out in any way, to the parents for the commitment they have shown and to all the children who have taken part.

We break for a few weeks for holidays. In conjunction with our sponsors Flanagan Cycles we are running a pre-City League training camp running from Monday August 18th to Friday August 22nd each day from 10.00am to 2.00pm. This is in preparation for the City Leagues which commence in
September. We will be releasing more details soon in relation to the camp and would urge all Parents to send the children to the camp. Tweet
