Roche Under 9's played a blitz in Kilkerley Monday evening. They played 3 games, against Kilkerley 1 & 2 and John Mitchell's.

Roche started brightly and played great football in all 3 matches.

Some early points scored by Lee and Conor settled Roche into the games.

Midfield had great possession throughout all 3 matches thanks to Niamh, Kyle and Ronan. The defence was solid throughout due to resolute defending from Nicole, Eimear, Donal and Ruairi. Adam scored some crucial points for Roche especially in the second game when Roche were under pressure.

Roche U12 travelled to Ardee to play against the unbeaten St Mary's on Wednesday evening. Dry sunny conditions allowed both teams to put on a very entertaining joust.

Ardee settled the quickest and raced into a four point lead. The Roche lads finally found their groove and stormed back with two well worked goals. The match remained evenly balanced at half time with St Marys holding a two point advantage.

The game continued in its end to end fashion with some brilliant scores ...from both sides. Ardee just had enough to see them up the final straight to edge a great match by four points on a score of 4:12 to 6:02.

ROCHE EMMETS FAMILY FUN DAY - 2ND JULY

Roche Emmets Family day will be held in the club on Sunday 2nd July, between 2pm and 6pm, with a great day out guaranteed for young and old alike. Free entry and free parking for all.

Novelty and fun events will be run for all the family throughout the afternoon.

An underage blitz will be held on the day for the McShane Family trophy.

The emphasis will be on fun for all.

Burger stand and ice cream van will operate throughout the afternoon to keep everyone refreshed.
