A hat-trick of second-half goals from full-forward Aaron McDonnell sent Offaly on the road to victory in today's Hastings Cup final.
The scoreboard read 3-9 to 1-11 in the Faithful County's favour at the end of an entertaining encounter at Newtownforbes.
The sides finished the first-half level on 0-6 apiece but Offaly seized the initiative six minutes after the resumption when McDonnell pounced for his first goal.
The number 14 raised his second green flag seven minutes later before completing his hat-trick in the 53rd minute.
McDonnell's goals parachuted the Faithful County into an unassailable 3-8 to 0-10 lead while Tom Hayes netted a consolation goal for the Breffni County late on.
