Daingean GAA Summer League:

Thursday July 2nd saw the first 2 games in the inaugural Mini Maroons Summer League. The Connaught team under the management of Tommy Cocoman & Sean Farrell took on Martin Daly & Jake Naughton's Ulster squad. Aided by a strong breeze the Connaught outfit took control of midfield and cruised to a 2-07 to 0-00 half time lead. Some crucial changes at half time by master tactician Sean Farrell saw his side make a brave come back & registering 3-01 in the second half but it wasn't to be.

Full time: Connaught 3-11 Ulster 3-01.

In the second game Sean Ferguson & Seamus McEvoy's Munster side took on Padraig Ferguson & Christy Farrell's Leinster. Leinster held a 0-05 to 0-01 lead at the break which was influenced hugely by a strong breeze. Munster pulled back level early in the second half but it wasn't to be as goals from Odhran Connolly & Ryan Conway saw the Leinster team pull away.

Full time: Leinster 3-07 Munster 1-06.
