The banter has been flying around St. Joseph's, Rochfortbridge ahead of next Sunday's Leinster club SHC semi-final between Raharney and Kilcormac/ Killoughey.

The eagerly-anticipated midlands derby at Cusack Park will see Kilcormac/Killoughey full back and woodwork teacher Ger Healion come up against a number of students he has taught in the Westmeath school, including the mercurial Doyle twins, Killian and Ciaran, who will sit their Leaving Cert next year.

Indeed, Ger could end up marking one of the 17-year-old siblings, who scored 1-7 between them in Raharney's quarter-final win over St. Mullin's of Carlow.

Other Raharney players Healion has taught over the past few years include the Greville twins, Robbie and Gary, Darren Giles, Joey Boyle, Chris Flanagan and Cormac Boyle.

If that wasn't enough for Ger to contend with, his teaching colleagues include Helen Doyle, mother of the aforementioned twins, and Liz Shaw, sister of experienced Raharney forward and former Westmeath captain John Shaw.

If the big number three is feeling outnumbered, at least he can count on the support of history teacher Bridget Currams, who is the mother of double Ks captain Daniel, who himself taught in St. Joseph's a couple of years ago.

Remarkably, next Sunday's game will feature four sets of twins - the Grevilles and Doyles from Raharney and the Healions (Ger and Peter) and Geraghtys (Peter and Thomas) from Kilcormac/Killoughey.
