Flanagan gets Rohan backing

Mark Rohan is predicting that incoming Offaly football manager Pat Flanagan will bring the team from Division 4 to 2 of the Allianz League within the next two years.

The two times gold medal Paralympian was part of Flanagan's backroom team in Westmeath last year when promotion to Division 1 was achieved. And the former Lake County underage star, who lives on the Westmeath-Offaly border in Ballinahown, believes the Clara man will make similar progress with the Faithful.

"A Division 4 team: I can see them getting to Division 2 within two years. And they're a good bunch of footballers down there," Rohan is quoted in the Irish Daily Star.

"The guy who does my sports massage was working with the Offaly team last year and the U21s were very good."
