Junior Hurling Semifinal
Ballinamere 1-16 Killeigh 1-06
The hurlers quest for championship glory came to a shuddering halt when they were comprehensively beaten by Ballinamere at the penultimate stage in O'Connor Park on Saturday. After a shaky start Killeigh came more into the game and a Mark Egan goal on half time gave them a 4 point lead going in at the break, 1-04 to 0-03 and in a seemingly strong position. Unfortunately the team just never got going in the second half at all and Ballinamere ran out comfortable winners. This was a particularly dispiriting and disappointing defeat as the character and fight shown in the quarter final win were sadly lacking in the day. Team: G McDonald. J Condron B Lawlor K Egan. N O'Rourke A Plunkett E Keenan. E Gorman M Sheeran. M Egan K O'Brien N Cunningham (0-05). P Horan L Langton S Dolan (0-01). Subs Used: C Horan, A Kinahan, C McDermott.

Well Done to Na Fianna U-14 footballers on their victory in the A semi final and best of luck in the final.

Hard luck to Na Fianna U-16 hurlers who fell to defeat to a strong St Rynaghs team in the quarter final last Saturday.
