Brian Carroll has claimed that his Offaly team-mates aren't committed enough.

The outspoken Coolderry forward also believes the management and county board have to shoulder some of the blame for the malaise Offaly hurling currently finds itself in.

In an in-depth interview with the Tullamore Tribune, Carroll says: "I can't tell you what every other player is doing, apart from what I see them doing in training. At the end of the day, the unequivocal answer is no, we are obviously not doing enough because we are not getting results.

"Are the players doing enough? Most definitely not. Are the management doing enough? Most definitely not. Are the county board doing enough? Most definitely not.

"It is only when we all push for the common goal that we can move forward. We can always do better and that goes for everyone."

He added: "The biggest issue we have in Offaly hurling at the moment is that there is no quick fix. We probably have things wrong on so many levels that it is going to take a hell of a long time, patience and money.

"It is going to take a lot of soul-searching and a lot of honesty of effort at all levels."
