Rhode GAA club notes

Rhode Minor footballers were beaten by Ferbane/Belmount in Rhode on Tuesday evening on a 2-13 to 1-11 score line. This was a good competitive game of football with the result in doubt right up to the last ten minutes when Ferbane/Belmount scored their second goal. The game saw the return of Ruairi McNamee after been injury in the Leinster Minor football semi-final against Dublin.

The Rhode GAA annual golf classic will take place on Saturday the 6th of September at Edenderry Golf Club. There will be more details next week.

There was no winner of the Rhode GAA Lotto for the week ending 10th of August for a Jackpot of €15,000. The numbers drawn were 2 3 14 26. The club like to thank all those who supported the draw and thanks to Killeen's for the use of their premises and for their help and cooperation. The following matched three numbers and received €200

Sympathy is extended to the Mulligan family of Rathmoyle Rhode on the death on Molly who died on Monday and whose remains were interred to Rhode cemetery on Wednesday. Molly who lived and worked in Dublin in the gateaux cake factory where she was a secretary. She was a quite respectable lady and she was a lifelong supporter of all Rhode and Offaly teams.
