Daingean made the trip to Pollagh on Saturday, minus a number of regulars, to take on Erin Rovers in Division 2 of the league. Daingean started brightly, but struggled to put scores on the board. A fortuitous goal towards the end of the first quarter gave Rovers the advantage before Daingean got a goal of their own soon after through Vinny O'Rourke to take a one-point lead into the interval.

Erin Rovers began the 2nd half with renewed vigour and Daingean soon found themselves 3 points down. Their cause wasn't helped when they lost Stephen Burns to a black card. Despite further setbacks in the shape of a Paul O'Rourke black card and the loss of John McCourt to injury, the game was still up for grabs entering its final moments. With just two points separating the sides, Daingean were awarded a close-range free, but Jamie Hayes' goalbound effort was tipped over the bar. The full-time whistle went moments later and Daingean's last chance to salvage something from the game was gone.

Final score: Erin Rovers 1-10 Daingean 1-9

Team - S. Owens, T. Cocoman, J. McCourt, L. O'Reilly, J. Carey, S. Burns, J. McCabe, L. Brennan, D. McManamon, D. Feely, C. Curley, S. Ferguson, P. O'Rourke, V. O'Rourke, J. Hayes. Subs used - S. Kirwan, P. Mangan, C. Joslin.

Daingean hosted Ballinagar last Tuesday in Division 4 of the league. Ballinagar started well and after spurning some decent chances, finally got their reward with a 10th minute goal. The home side were rocked back on their heels as Ballinagar then rattled the net twice in quick succession, to leave 8 points between the teams after just 15 minutes. Daingean would have been out of this game by half-time but for Shane Kirwan's four points ensuring that the home side went in trailing on a score of 3-2 to 0-5.

Daingean started the 2nd half in more positive fashion and a greater urgency all over the field was evident from the men in maroon. A brilliant Sean Ferguson goal midway through the half brought Daingean within 3. The sides then traded points before David Feely goaled, to bring the teams level. Ballinagar came closest to reclaiming the lead before time ran out and a draw was the fairest result in the end.

Final Score: Daingean 2-9 Ballinagar 3-6
