Minors. Emyvale minors played against St Tiernach Sarsfields last Tuesday evening in Scotstown in the Maguire International Div 2 Championship Semi-final. This was the third meeting between the two teams this season, Emyvale having won the first game by 3 points and the second game ending in a draw. So on paper this was going to be a close encounter. That is exactly how it started with only a few points separating the teams throughout the first half. While Emyvale were the dominant side Clones/Killeevan were well in the hunt and were it not for the help of the woodwork and a fantastic save by the Emyvale keeper it would have been a different game. However a 10 minute blitz at the start of the second half effectively won this game for the Emyvale boys. Ryan O'Neil and Michael O Brien completely dominated the mid-field area and created the platform for an excellent and thoroughly deserved victory. This was a great team performance and one which will need to be repeated and improved upon if we have genuine aspirations of winning the minor championship .As stated, this was an excellent team performance with everyone playing their part but particular mention must go to Karl Gallagher, Niall Mckenna, Kieran Colton, Eoghan Treanor and the aforementioned mid fielders O'Neill and O'Brien. Training continues every Monday and Thursday at 8 pm full attendance necessary. Thanks Enda O Brien for the report above.

Seniors. The Senior team have their second game in the Mc Elvaney Waste & Recycling Intermediate Championship this Saturday in Castleblaney @ 5:30pm. Pease come and support the lads.
