February 24, 2015Corduff Gaels Juvenile Registration & Awards Night
We will be hosting our registration and awards night on Friday the 27/02/15 in the Corduff Community Centre commencing at 19.00hrs with registration. The event will give parents the opportunity to meet members of the Juvenile committee and the coaches involved with your children for the coming year. On the night our successful under 12 and under 14 teams will receive their medals.
Refreshments will be served on the night so come along with all and enjoy the evening.
This year we will be combining the registration and yearly training fee. This will be the total cost incurred for the year.
The costs are as follows:
Single child: €30
Two Children: €50
Three or more: €70
We look forward to seeing you all there on the night.
County U21s:
Well done to Padraic Keenan and the Monaghan U21 team that played in The Shamrock Cup U21 Final on Sunday last. Unfortunately the result didn't go Monaghan's way with Tyrone winning and lifting The Shamrock Cup.
Corduff ladies:
Minor and senior training continues on Friday and Sundays, the season is about to kick off with games due to begin in the next few weeks so full attendance required.
U-14/u-16 training continues Saturday mornings at 10am. Great attendance so far, new players always welcome.
Registration night will be held this Friday in the community centre for all juveniles; girls and boys; who wish to play football with Corduff in the coming year, new players welcome. Notes have been distributed through the local primary schools.
County News:
Congratulations to the monaghan senior ladies team who defeated cork in Blackhill on Sunday afternoon. Despite the weather there was huge support for the Monaghan team. Well done to the panel on their wonderful performance. In particular well done to Laura McEnaney who put Monaghan on the scoreboard with the first score, a smashing goal in the 7th minute. She added another valuable point to her tally in the second half
Guard of Honour:
Monaghan Ladies County Boards put in a massive effort promoting last Sunday's League clash of Monaghan and Cork. The Reigning All-Ireland champions received a great Monaghan welcome on the day. As part of the extra activities there was a guard of honour for the senior teams. Abbie Finegan proudly represented Corduff in the guard of honour sporting her black and amber.
Reserve:
Good luck to the Senior Reserve team that have their first competitive match of the year this weekend when they welcome Inniskeen to Corduff for an 8pm throw-in on Saturday evening. Come along and support the Ladies!
Corduff Gaels Senior & Minor Membership:
Membership is now due and needs to be paid within the next 2 weeks. Rates are as follows: Senior players and Committee members €50, Minors & Students €20 and a special family rate of €100.
Reserve Football:
In the Crawley Cup Corduff will play Sean McDermotts in the 1st Round. The winners will play Carrick who have home advantage in the quarter final.
