Monaghan Harps 1-11 Eskra (Tyrone) 0-8 Monaghan Harps deservedly booked their place in the final of the Ulster junior club competition at the expense of Tyrone side, Eskra in this entertaining and at times very exciting semi final in Cremartin, on Sunday 8th February. Monaghan Harps got off to the better start with a goal by Shane Smyth after just six minutes giving them a decided advantage and they went on to lead at the break by 1-6 to 0-5. In the second half they continued to dominate and within five minutes of the restart they had extended their lead to six points with Eskra relying almost entirely on the accuracy of Joseph McCarroll who accounted for all but one of their scores.
